Preparation
  1. Whisk egg yolks lightly.
  2. In a saucepan, mix table cream, milk, sugar and vanilla.
  3. Bring gently up just to boil.
  4. Pour into egg yolks while stirring constantly.
  5. Return to saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until custard thickens enough just to coat the back of the spoon.
  6. Pour into bowl and serve hot, warm or cool.
